Instructions > Instructions for speakers

The organizers ask for early preparation of the presentations to avoid disruption during the sessions and to minimize disappointment in the case of the projection equipment not being compatible. Any time wasted on setting up your computer or its connection will be deducted from presentation time.

Presentation times:
Keynote Talks 45 minutes slots: we recommend 35-40 minutes for presentation plus optional discussion (5 minutes)
Invited Talks 30 minutes slots: 25 minutes presentation plus 5 minutes for discussion
Standard presentations 20 minutes slots: authors are requested to leave 4-5 minutes for discussion, thus making the presentation itself 15-16 minutes long.

Check for the session and time of your presentation in the final program. Be aware of the room for the session (three parallel sessions being held).

Every room will be equipped with data projector (standard VGA connection), screen, and laptop computer with up-to-date PowerPoint. In case an author is not carrying a laptop, the organization’s computer can be used.

We ask you to make a thorough TEST BEFORE the sessions starts. At least come to the session location 15 minutes before its beginning to check your equipment. The session rooms will be available before and after the talks, during all the breaks and during lunch. Be ready to use the organization's PC if it does not work (have a USB key ready). The assistant chairmen will assist you.

Recommendations for handling videos:
- Videos should preferably be in WMV format; use a standard codec
- Video files should be placed in the same folder as the presentation file
- Automatic play is recommended for videos embedded into presentations.
